Experienced Gardener / Horticultural Operative
(3-month contract)
Location: Various sites across London
Contract: Initial 3-month contract (with the possibility of extension)
Start Date: Immediate
DBVG is a leading specialist in the design, installation and maintenance of vertical gardens, roof terraces and interior and exterior planting. We are looking for an experienced, reliable and enthusiastic Gardener / Horticultural Operative to join our team on an initial 3-month contract, with the potential for a longer-term opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintaining vertical gardens
- Caring for indoor and outdoor planting displays
- Maintaining roof terraces and planted areas
- Planting, pruning, weeding
- Monitoring plant health and reporting any issues and advising on the solutions
- Watering and general horticultural maintenance
- Assisting with the installation of planting schemes, vertical gardens and green infrastructure projects
- Ensuring sites are kept clean, tidy and presented to a high standard
- Using horticultural tools and equipment safely
- CSCS card a bonus but not essential
About You:
- Previous horticultural, gardening or landscaping experience (10+ years)
- A genuine interest and passion in plants and horticulture
- Reliable, hardworking and able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors and at heights where appropriate
- Good attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work
- Full UK driving licence is desirable but not essential
