Oxford St Penthouse

For the Oxford Street Penthouse development, we designed and constructed an innovative vertical garden: 700 linear metres of planting featuring 5,000 plants.

Achieving fire safety compliance for this large-scale residential installation at height was extremely challenging. We successfully met these regulations by devising and building an original system.

This system utilises:

  • Aluminium Framing: For lightweight, non-combustible structural support.
  • Volcanic Substrate: A high-performing, non-flammable growing medium.
  • Copper Piping: A durable, fire-resistant irrigation solution.

This custom combination delivered the highest fire rating achievable for a living wall system, enabling the project’s approval and successful delivery in this complex, high-density urban setting.
